This endpoint retrieves the list of currently available X-Series GPU virtual machine configurations and their live hourly pricing from the Dataoorts platform.
List All Available Instances to Deploy - Overview
The X-Series Offers API allows authenticated users to retrieve currently available GPU virtual machine configurations that can be launched on the Dataoorts platform.
The endpoint returns a list of available GPU instance offers along with their associated hourly pricing. This allows developers to programmatically compare available configurations, estimate infrastructure costs, and build GPU provisioning workflows into their applications.
Each offer identifies a GPU virtual machine configuration and its hourly price in the currency specified by the API response. Available configurations and prices may change over time.
Endpoint
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| HTTP Method | GET |
| Endpoint | /xseries/offers |
| Full URL | https://cloud.dataoorts.com/api/v1/xseries/offers |
| Authentication | Bearer Token |
| Response Format | JSON |
Authentication
This endpoint requires a valid Dataoorts Unify API key.
Include your API key in the Authorization header using the Bearer authentication scheme.
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
Accept: application/jsonYou can generate or manage your API key through the Dataoorts Unify API.
Keep your API key secure and never expose it in public repositories or client-side applications.
Request Parameters
This endpoint does not require any query parameters or a request body. Send a GET request to the endpoint with the required authentication header.
Request Examples
cURL - Use the following command to retrieve available X-Series GPU offers:
curl --request GET \
--url "https://cloud.dataoorts.com/api/v1/xseries/offers" \
--header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \
--header "Accept: application/json"Replace YOUR_API_KEY with your actual Dataoorts Unify API key.
Python Example implementation:
import os
import requests
API_URL = "https://cloud.dataoorts.com/api/v1/xseries/offers"
def get_xseries_offers(api_key: str) -> dict:
"""
Retrieve available X-Series GPU virtual machine offers.
Args:
api_key: Your Dataoorts Unify API key.
Returns:
dict: The JSON response containing available offers and pricing.
Raises:
requests.exceptions.RequestException:
If the HTTP request fails or returns an unsuccessful
HTTP status code.
ValueError:
If the response cannot be decoded as JSON.
"""
headers = {
"Authorization": f"Bearer {api_key}",
"Accept": "application/json",
}
response = requests.get(
API_URL,
headers=headers,
timeout=30,
)
response.raise_for_status()
return response.json()
if __name__ == "__main__":
api_key = os.getenv("DATAOORTS_API_KEY")
if not api_key:
raise RuntimeError(
"Set the DATAOORTS_API_KEY environment variable."
)
try:
result = get_xseries_offers(api_key)
print("Status:", result.get("status"))
print("Count:", result.get("count"))
print("Currency:", result.get("currency"))
print("Message:", result.get("message"))
print("\nAvailable X-Series GPU Offers:")
for offer in result.get("offers", []):
print("-", offer)
except requests.exceptions.RequestException as exc:
print(f"API request failed: {exc}.")
except ValueError as exc:
print(f"Invalid JSON response: {exc}.")Set your API key before running the script.
Linux / macOS
export DATAOORTS_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"
python xseries_offers.pyWindows PowerShell
$env:DATAOORTS_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"
python xseries_offers.pyThe script retrieves the offers and prints the response metadata and available GPU configurations with their hourly prices.
Example Json Response
A successful request returns a JSON object containing the request status, number of offers, pricing currency, a descriptive message, and the available offers.
HTTP Status: 200 OK
{
"status": "success",
"count": 46,
"currency": "USD",
"message": "Live X-Series GPU offers retrieved for you successfully.",
"offers": [
"VM_A100-SXM4x8_960.0RAM_192CPU_16100SSD: $11.77/Hour",
"VM_A100x1-spot_120.0RAM_28CPU_850SSD: $0.99/Hour",
"VM_H100x1_120.0RAM_28CPU_850SSD: $1.74/Hour"
]
}The example shows three representative offers for readability, The actual response may contain additional offers, depending on current availability.
Response Fields
| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
status | String | Indicates result of the request - Successful response returns success. |
count | Integer | The number of offers returned by the API. |
currency | String | The currency used for the listed prices, such as USD. |
message | String | A descriptive message about the result of the request. |
offers | Array | A list of available GPU virtual machine offers, including configuration identifiers and hourly prices. |
Each item in the offers array represents an available configuration with its associated hourly price, as formatted in the API response.
Understanding GPU Offers
X-Series offers identify GPU virtual machine configurations and their resource specifications. The configuration identifier may contain details such as the Instance GPU Model, Instance GPU Count, Instance RAM, Instance vCPU Cores, and Instance NVMe storage.
For example: VM_A100x1-spot_120.0RAM_28CPU_850SSD: $0.99/Hour
This identifies an A100 configuration with 1x GPU, 120 GB of RAM, 28 vCPU Cores, and 850 GB of NVMe Storage, Priced at $0.99 per hour in the example response.
The exact configuration and price depend on the offer returned by the API.
Note: Offer identifiers containing labels such as spot, or NVLink should be treated as configuration-specific identifiers. Refer to the corresponding offer details and applicable provisioning rules when deciding which instance to launch.
Pricing Information
The hourly rate displayed for each offer is provided in the response currency.
Use the returned pricing information to estimate compute costs before launching an instance. Actual charges may depend on the selected configuration, runtime, and other applicable service charges.
Because this endpoint provides live offers, do not permanently hardcode its returned prices into your application. Retrieve the latest offers when current pricing or availability is important.
Error Handling
If the request fails, the API may return an HTTP error response instead of the successful JSON response.
Common Causes Include:
- Authentication errors: The API key is missing, invalid, or incorrectly formatted.
- HTTP errors: The server cannot successfully process the request.
- Network errors: The client cannot reach the API or the request times out.
- Invalid response: The server returns content that cannot be decoded as JSON.
In Python, response.raise_for_status() raises an exception for unsuccessful HTTP status codes. Handle these exceptions to prevent failed API requests from interrupting your application's workflow.
Do not assume that error responses contain the same fields as a successful response.
